“Hilly Horse” 2012
16″ x 20″ Acrylic on Canvas
Apples oh apples where are you? Spring has sprung; it’s time to grow so red and true. The farmer whistles a tune as he heads home with his work horse admiring the beauty of the fresh buds on his quirky apple trees. He knows the apples will grow faster if he sings them a song on his way. Another man up atop the hill decides it’s a fantastic day to leisure with a perfect wind for his dancing red kite. His neighbours on each side see a great opportunity for drying their clothes on the line with the fresh spring air to provide a perfect clean scent. The tire swing will soon be put to use once the kids get home from school; ’til then the tree will be its steady company.
