“Hilly Homework” 2013

It looks like it’s going to be wonderful today, on this sunny school day. The little boy with his homework all complete has nothing on his mind but recess play. He can’t wait for his school bus ride where he plays cards in the back to compete for a bonus lunch treat; maybe a muffin, a cookie, or a chocolate swirly hostess sweet. Rest assured, before he leaves, his dogs say their goodbyes and shall wait his return, while dad holds his tears knowing his holidays will come to an end and it will be mom’s turn to send his boy off on his way to school again. So that he can soak the memory of the morning in, he’ll stay outside to garden glancing up at where he hugged his boy goodbye, in the moment the day began.
