“Hilly Habitat” 2014

30″ x 40″ Acrylic on Canvas

A vast land to call a habitat.
Home to many free farm cats.
Brush stroke filled cloudy skies,
balloons pulled by the winds tides.
Trees planted line by line,
growing land borders in true form.
Looking to branch freely upward
with the help of the next storm.
Leaves provide shade for all those hot days.
While trunks anchor the line for clothes to stay.
Colourful houses stand out from far away.
While the horse free to wander always says neigh.
The cow can relax while the tractors at rest.
The farmer who spends time with his wife always knows best.
The little girl soars her kite in flight with the train in sight;
over the hill the engine fights.
The springs breeze catches all down below.
It promises a fruitful summer for all to grow.
